Gyula Szentiványi was one of the major landlords of the 19th century in the settlement of Apa. He owned 989 acres of land. After the nationalization, the former manor surrounded by a beautiful park was functioning as a school until 2009, when a new school was built in the village. The heirs' attempts remained unsuccessful, they failed to recover the property, so currently it is the property of the village.
