According to Bíró József, this castle is one of Transylvania's most unique baroque structures, being constructed as a result of the Castle from Bonchida. The middle avant-corps laid upon the roof shows Hildebrandt's pavilion solution, however, the ground floor structure, the horizontally-closing gable wall and the oval windows are perceived as local solutions and not the works of architects from Vienna. The castle's personal charm is conveyed by the wide terrace with stone balustrade and the playful carvings of the heraldic motifs located on the rococo facade, which were made in 1786 and praise the hand of the sculptor Anton Schuchbauer from Cluj-Napoca.
