MAKAY Dorottya is dealing with conservation of historic buildings.

In 1998 she received the Europa Nostra Award for the rehabilitation of the Roman Catholic Church Calvary, Mănăştur.

In 2001 she recieved the Grigore Ionescu Award from the Ministry of Culture for her active work in Trust Transylvania Foundation regarding the rehabilitation of Bánffy Castle in Bonţida.
